Sleeping on cool floors past midnight's call
Sounds of night's reverie invade my dreams
I awaken taken by the television's droning voices
And rise to walk the halls for predators
I stealthly retrace my nightly steps
The television's noise fades away
As I walk down the hall
And step into Mom's office filled with soft rugs
And smells of past incense burning
Unable to resist, I lay down
And fall lazily into dreamtime once more
Another night of light-filled wanderings
